In their performance titled “Patashnik”, Marcus Wendt and Vera Glahn combine an audio collage made from field recordings and diverse rhythms with images and line drawings they produce live, using their own software NervousInk. In two parts, like the A and B sides of a vinyl record, the artists tell the story of an uncertain journey into an unknown world. NervousInk, a software amplifying simple drawing gestures into complex animations, has been developed specifically for this piece. The programme is controlled intuitively, like a visual tool, and the interrelation between listening, drawing and seeing is its special feature. NervousInk is an open source project by Marcus Wendt, developed on OpenGL/C++, for more information go to

The artists will also introduce their project “SENDUNG.net Platform for Live Visuals and Experimental Video”. Since summer 2006, artists, musicians and VJs from all over the world have been presenting work from the fields of audiovisual performance or experimental music on this website.
The Rotlichtkonzerte are curated by Matthias Siegert (www.vonm.de).
